Uses Of Conair Weight Watchers Body Scales
Weight Watchers is an American-based international company that offers various dieting products and services to assist weight loss and maintenance. The core philosophy behind Weight Watchers programs is to use a science-driven approach to help participants lose weight by forming helpful habits, eating smarter, getting more exercise and providing support. In contrast to other diets that might provide a list of foods that either must be or should never be eaten, Weight Watchers ' primary plan has no directly comparable requirements and no food is off limits. Participants lose weight by creating a calorie deficit; the PointsPlus system provides a framework for creating that deficit. Accordingly, Weight Watchers is generally compatible with other diet approaches and/or food intake restrictions (e.g., the paleolithic diet and South Beach diet), provided participants use the Weight Watchers framework to measure and limit the quantity of food consumed while using the other diet plan to dictate the range of acceptable food choices. There are two primary ways individuals can work with Weight Watchers: via in-person meetings and an online-only program. Both programs use the same basic materials and computations. For in-person meetings, Weight Watchers encourages members to select a goal weight that results in a body mass index generally accepted as healthy (18 to 24.9), although a member may also establish a goal weight outside of that range after providing a doctor's note to that effect. In order to join Weight Watchers in the United States, one must weigh at least 5 pounds (2.3 kg) more than the minimum weight for his or her height. Weight Watchers isn't a diet; its a healthy way to live. Lose weight with weight loss plans developed by our experts and 45 years of experience. Stop dieting and lose weight the healthy way with Weight Watchers.

BMI stands for Body Mass Index, a statistical term derived from height and weight. It is closely linked to body fat and health outcomes. Over 50 organizations, including the US Government and the World Health Organization, have adopted BMI guidelines. BMI is inversely related to fitness, meaning that the higher your BMI, the less likely you are to be fit. Every time your body analysis monitor reads your weight and calculates your body fat, it also calculates your BMI. Along with your weight and your body fat measurements, the BMI reading gives you yet one more tool to monitor your health and fitness.
Body Water And Hydration Levels
General health standards indicate that one should consume approximately 64 oz of water per day from food and liquids to maintain a healthy level of hydration. Maintaining a good hydration level will help improve your overall health and general feeling of well-being. If your hydration levels are lower than average, you should increase your water intake accordingly.
Body water and hydration level – how is it measured?
The hydration level is measured by using Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA). The same analysis that is used to calculate your body fat is used to calculate your hydration level. Taking into consideration a user’s age and gender, a calculation is made that determines the percentage of water.

Please note: It is not recommended to take the hydration measurements in certain situations, such as following exercise, after drinking a glass of water, or directly prior to, during or shortly after menstrual cycles. Hydration may not be at normal levels during these times.
Bone Mass – What Is It?
Bone is a living, growing tissue. During youth, your body makes new bone tissue faster than it breaks down older bone. In young adulthood, bone mass is at its peak; after that, bone loss starts to outpace bone growth, and bone mass decreases. But it’s a long and very slow process that can be slowed down even more through calcium-rich diets and weight-bearing exercise.
Who should monitor bone mass?
Most people have no need to monitor bone mass, but certain groups postmenopausal women, men and women with certain diseases, and anyone who takes medications that affect bone tissue might want to watch for decreases in bone mass. The bone mass reading is to be used as guide only. Watch for trends over time and contact your healthcare provider for a more detailed explanation of the readings and with any questions or concerns.

Steps to be followed while using Conair Weight Watchers Scales:
Step 1
Flip the scale over and remove the battery cover on the underside of the device. Install a 3V CR2032 lithium battery, according to the diagram printed inside of the battery bay; replace the battery cover. Locate the small switch set into the scale's base; flip the switch to set the scale's measurement units to kilograms or pounds, as desired. Flip the scale back over.
Step 2
Place the scales on a level area of the floor. If you plan to use the scale in the bathroom, place it in a location where it's unlikely to get wet or splashed.
Step 3
Stand next to the bottom edge of the scale. Activate the scale by tapping the center of the scale's platform with the ball of your foot. Wait until the display shows "00.0" or "0.0" before proceeding.
Step 4
Step onto the scale; if your device comes equipped with a leveler function, follow the directions shown on the LCD display until are standing in the center of the scale. Remain standing on the scale for four to five seconds until it has calculated your weight. Review the information shown on the display.
Step 5
Step off of the scale. Press and hold the "Save/Recall" button for two seconds, if desired, to store your weight measurements. Press the button again to review your stored measurements. Leave the scale undisturbed until it deactivates automatically.
*Note: Some models of Conair Weight Watchers scales come with five separate "Save/Recall" buttons, designed to store an equal amount of weight measurements. If your model of scale comes equipped with a body fat monitor, remove your socks and shoes before attempting to take a measurement. Your body weight measurements will vary according to a number of factors; to monitor your weight most effectively, take measurements once per week, at the same time of the day and while wearing the same clothes.
